After struggling with MYOB for years and being thoroughly disappointed in its anti-friendly user interfaces, I thought I'd give Quickbooks a shot. Since writing the above paragraph in 1/12, I encountered a severe bug: you can export the same exact paycheck as many times as you like! In my case, I thought the export had not occurred (due to the screen being hidden).
Never did I think that the same paycheck with the same check number could be exported TWICE. I thought the simple solution was to delete the 'second' paycheck--I ended up deleting the only paycheck. Then I spent a considerable amount of time doing journal entries to correct the entries, followed by re-doing the same paychecks. There's a bug that needs to be addressed. Please pay more attention to your Mac version.

When I attempt to make up an invoice the software will not put the detail as an income item but rather makes the category an expense. I have not used QuickBooks for about 3-4 years after all the problems I had with it in the past, in particular having the people in tech services from foreign countries wipe out all my info numerous times while attempting to 'help' fix the problems. I became very dissatisfied when Intuit quit offering reasonably priced upgrades and tech services to their defective product. Instead, they appreciate their customers by refusing tech service for the poorly performing product and then expect you to buy a new version.
