Hi, I have been asked by a friend to help with configuring Mac Pro purchase. Currently he uses Mac Book Pro (I think 15' or 17' model) with 4GB RAM hooked to 27' Apple monitor. The MBP purchase was really a mistake since it sits now for years tethered next to the big monitor and its own display is not being used not to speak about portability, most the machine was moved was when I upgraded the RAM and replaced one of the internal fans.
